Mike Kropf is an award-winning photojournalist at The Daily Progress in Charlottesville, Virginia. His freelance clients include The Associated Press, Getty Images, multiple Division I universities, and a number of local media outlets.

Previously the University Photographer at Longwood University, he has covered the Washington Commanders, a vice presidential debate, a gubernatorial race, local elections, concerts, and NCAA Division I athletics over the past decade.

He has won 15 Virginia Press Association awards in three years including "Best In Show" in 2020.

With a bachelor's degree in photography, his work has been featured by The Washington Post, The New York Times, U.S. News & World Report, the NCAA, CBS, Bleacher Report, Richmond Times-Dispatch, The Virginian-Pilot, The Daily Progress, The Free Lance-Star, C-VILLE Weekly, Charlottesville Tomorrow, The Farmville Herald and others.
